How to cure papillomas

Papillomas on the skin of the eyelids requiring treatment

Papillomavirus is the most common virus found in the human body. It can remain latent, i. e. in a dormant state, for several months to several years. Under the influence of certain provoking factors, the virus begins to manifest itself in the form of warts and skin growths, so-called papillomas. The method of treating papillomas and the symptoms of such an infectious disease are described in more detail in the article.

Features of the treatment

Human papillomavirus infection can only be treated by a specialist. Therapy with folk remedies at home only takes place with the consent of the attending physician.

According to official data, there are more than 100 types of this disease. Treatment and typical symptoms are different in each case. For this reason, it is quite difficult to decide on the necessary therapeutic method, and the wrong approach can cause the situation to worsen and the symptoms of the pathology to spread throughout the body.

Before starting the treatment of papillomas on the body, the doctor will find out the real reason for the development of the disease.

Only then will the specialist decide on the most effective method of therapy. Of course, you can find many remedies at the pharmacy counters that help get rid of the symptoms of the disease, but some of them are not only ineffective, but can also aggravate the course of the pathology.

These include acid for cauterizing infected growths and nitrogen for freezing, the use of which helps them fall off on their own. There are also special patches that are stuck to the affected area and left on for 2-3 hours. After this time, the area is moistened with water, the patch is pulled off, and the wart comes off with it.

Well-known doctors believe that such therapeutic methods are effective only in eliminating the external manifestations of the disease, while HPV remains in the body and can be activated after a certain time. To get rid of the papillomavirus itself, you need to see a doctor. In this case, special antiviral drugs are prescribed, which can suppress the infection and its generalization in the body.

So let's see how to get rid of the external manifestations that characterize the disease, and this:

  • cryodestruction,
  • laser therapy,
  • electrocoagulation,
  • radio wave surgery.

Cryodestruction

The traditional way to treat papillomas in men and women is cryodestruction, which is the use of liquid nitrogen applied to the wart, thereby freezing it. Immediately after application, a burning sensation appears, which disappears in a short time. Despite the discomfort, the procedure promotes the death of the growth tissue, after which it dies. This allows new healthy tissue to grow in the area.

Cryodestruction – targeted removal of the papilloma with liquid nitrogen

If liquid nitrogen gets on a skin tumor, it cannot affect the surrounding healthy tissues.

The advantage is that there is no risk of bleeding, because during the freezing process the arterial and venous arteries located in this section are blocked. The area treated with liquid nitrogen heals fairly quickly. No scars remain on it, because such an agent does not transform the tissues. In some cases, a barely noticeable scar remains, but this is quite rare. In most cases, this is smooth and clean skin after the procedure.

This method of treating papillomas in women and men is practically painless, except for a slight burning sensation immediately after applying the product.

Laser removal

Some doctors do not even think about how to treat papilloma in this or that person, but immediately prescribe laser therapy. During the treatment, low-intensity rays are used, which helps to achieve the following results:

  • stimulation of normal blood circulation in the affected area;
  • improving tissue nutrition;
  • activation of self-healing processes.

All these processes together help the treated surface to heal quickly. There are 2 stages in the treatment of the symptoms of the disease:

  • Cutting out the growth.
  • Coagulation (blockage of blood vessels and affected cells).

This is the second stage of therapy, which ensures the exclusion of inflammatory processes in the area of laser exposure and tissue scarring. Usually, no scar remains after the removal of a tumor with a diameter of no more than 5 mm. After getting rid of larger growths, you can observe the formation of imperceptible spots that have a whitish tint.

The advantage of laser therapy is that it eliminates the possibility of affecting the surrounding healthy tissue, thereby reducing the risk of infection. Another advantage of the treatment is that the depth of laser exposure can be controlled during the procedure. The target is only the changed tissue, namely the warty area, which turns into a crust and falls off.

Taking into account the accuracy of the effect of laser rays, we can conclude that papillomas can be cured with this method even in the genital area, eliminating the risk of complications in the postoperative period. As for the disadvantages of laser therapy, they have a side effect - burning, which disappears on its own over time.

Electrocoagulation

You can treat any area (papillomas on the neck, armpits, etc. ) with electrocoagulation - this method involves cauterizing the changed tissues with the help of electric current. The current comes out of a special device - the main device involved in the procedure.

Electrocoagulation procedure for effective papilloma removal

Electrocoagulation is an inexpensive pleasure that makes therapy possible for any average person.

The total duration of a session does not exceed 15 minutes. If the growth is small, repeated treatment is not necessary. Complete relief of symptoms occurs 7 days after the procedure. During this time there is no pain or discomfort.

All people, including children, should have the removed tissue checked for malignancy. This is necessary because even a benign tumor can degenerate into a malignant one. In this case, the biological material is subjected to histological analysis.

Before performing electrocoagulation, the specialist performs diagnostic measures that allow identifying existing contraindications to the use of the technique.

Radiotherapy

The symptoms caused by the virus and its activity in the body can be treated with techniques such as radiation therapy. The treatment helps eliminate both individual growths and multiple tumors throughout the body. The advantages of such therapy include the absence of the risk of postoperative scars and the elimination of stimulation of nerve endings. This is what allows the method to be used to treat papillomas in any area, including on the face, such as the eyes.

The following contraindications are:

  • pregnancy period;
  • concurrent cancer;
  • inflammatory process on the skin in the area where therapy is required;
  • menstruation;
  • any disease that occurs in an acute stage.

Before starting the therapy, the area affected by the radio waves is treated with an anesthetic. This can be a special anesthetic cream, spray or injection with such an agent. The total duration of the meeting does not exceed 30 minutes. After direct removal of the growth, a small wound appears in its place, which heals over time and a thin crust forms in its place. The latter also disappears after a while.

How to get rid of the virus

Treatment of the papillomavirus only by getting rid of external manifestations will not be effective, because in the future it will continue to manifest itself through the appearance of the same symptoms. So is it possible to cure such a virus and how to do it? To achieve this goal, special drugs are prescribed, which are used in combination, namely:

  • antiviral in various forms of release;
  • immunomodulators.

With the help of antiviral drugs, the structure of the human papillomavirus can be destroyed and its further spread in the body can be influenced in a preventive manner. These can be gels, ointments, tablets, suppositories, injection solutions. Tablets are considered the most effective. Pill medications are often prescribed to suppress the activity of the virus.

If symptoms of the papillomavirus appear on the genitals, they prescribe the use of rectal suppositories, which help to eliminate and prevent the inflammatory process in this area and strengthen local immunity. The daily dose of such products is 1-2 suppositories.

Immunomodulators are prescribed to increase the body's resistance to the activity of the virus. These can only be prescribed by a specialist because they affect the human immune system.

Treatment at home

As noted above, folk remedies are only a supplement to the main therapy, but by no means the main treatment. You can use the following natural ingredients:

  • egg (raw protein is applied several times a day to the growth of the skin until it begins to fall off on its own);
  • castor oil (apply the affected areas with this product several times a day, cover with a bandage or scarf; the method is used until the growth disappears);
  • laundry soap (the method is used only in case of existing papillomas on the skin; such treatment is not suitable for mucous membranes; rub the growth for 5 days, trying not to damage the integrity of the tissue);
  • celandine (after steaming the skin with the new growth, apply fatty cream and vegetable juice together with the new growth; the procedure is carried out several times a day for a week);
  • garlic (for the treatment of papillomas in any area except the face and genitals, so that it does not burn; apply the growth with a clove cut in half every half hour for half an hour; the procedure is carried out in the morning and in the evening for 2 weeks);
  • iodine (after smearing the skin around the growth with a rich cream, iodine is used: with a cotton ball, apply it to the growth until symptoms of inflammation appear, then it starts to fall off by itself);
  • dandelion (use the plant to make an infusion by filling the heads with cologne and letting it brew for 2 weeks; after this time, strain the decoction and apply it to the growth until it falls off on its own).

Infection with human papillomavirus can become dangerous to health, especially if treatment is not started in time and completely. That is why it is important to consult a doctor when the first warning signs appear.
